- Some programs, such as the Princeton in Asia Program [located in the "Asia" tab], require participants to learn or be familiar with the language of the region/country you're located in.

How should I prepare to teach abroad?
- In order to prepare for teaching English abroad, an MATESOL (Master's in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages), would be the most sensible way to start. Here are just a few schools that offer an MATESOL:

- The Education University of Hong Kong (Hong Kong)
- Another way to prepare to teach abroad, although not required by most programs, would be the learn the language of your destination. For example, if you're interested in teaching in Beijing, learning the basics of Mandarin would be a good way of preparing.
- Enroll in an online certification course for a Teach Abroad in a Foreign Language (TEFL) Certificate in case a program needs it
